ENFIELD STREET SCHOOL
PARKING LOT PROCEDURES 2011-2012
Parking
Lot Entry & Exits:
Buses will
enter via the Enfield Street driveway, and proceed
toward the back of the school, where children will enter
or exit the bus (supervised by teachers). Buses will
exit through the back gate onto Mitchell Drive.
Cars will enter
and exit the school grounds via the Enfield Street
driveways only.
Morning
Drop-off:
Parents who
drive their children to school for drop-off will enter
via the Enfield Street driveway and proceed to the area
just beyond the handicapped parking spots in front of
the crosswalk (near ‘Drop Off Area’ sign). Teachers
will be available in that area beginning at
8:40 a.m. to
assist children as they exit the cars onto the sidewalk
leading to the school. This will be a drop-off
only area – no parking will be allowed.
Please do not let your child out of your car until you
reach the area that is manned by a teacher. NO CHILDREN
WILL BE ALLOWED TO WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT
UNACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Parents will then exit the
parking lot via the ‘Exit Only’ driveway back onto
Enfield Street. Children will enter the school and
proceed (under teacher supervision) to their designated
areas to wait inside of the building until opening
bell.
Parents who
drive their children to school and wish to escort them
into school will park their car in an authorized parking
spot and walk with their child to the school door. NO
CHILDREN WILL BE ALLOWED TO WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT
UNACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
Afternoon
Pick-up:
Parents who
pick up their children at dismissal time (3:21 p.m.)
must park in a designated parking spot and walk to the
building. Children will be dismissed at 3:21 to
their parent or a designated adult from the following
locations:

Kindergarten – dismissed at kindergarten doors
-
Grade 1
- dismissed in hallway between nurse’s office &
kindergarten wing
-
Grade 2
- dismissed from the hallway near the main office
NO CHILDREN WILL BE ALLOWED TO WALK
THROUGH THE PARKING LOT UNACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
